Need Supply Co. is seeking a Content Manager to join our creative department. Based in Los Angeles, CA, this position will play a critical role in delivering compelling and meaningful content in accordance with Need Supply Co’s brand guidelines. The Content Manager will oversee social media and PR tactics that drive engagement while maintaining the editorial voice and brand standards across all facets and channels. The ideal candidate has experience strategizing, implementing, and managing digital content on all platforms. The ability to easily switch from project to project, work on multiple projects with concurrent timelines, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced work environment is essential. Excellent writing skills, and a strong eye for design and detail. Grammatical perfection is expected on all final products.



  • Develops and oversees the evolution of the Need Supply voice across all touchpoints to include: ecommerce, culture, social media, marketing, PR and offline channels
  • Partners with cross functional teams to maximize relevancy of advertising opportunities and understand priorities and define goals to develop and propose content strategies of site wide programs; from product descriptions to catalogs, features, and interviews as well as advertising, direct marketing, and social media
  • Assigns, edits and creates content designed to engage clients, drive traffic, and increase conversion
  • Develops and manages the Content Calendar that leverages both cultural and commerce driven content across channels including social media, email, PR and site placements
  • Manages/develops direct reports within department
  • Understands and ensures merchandising objectives are met with content deliverables
  • Generates weekly and monthly reporting to recap content, develop future strategies and share findings with cross functional teams
  • Ensures all projects have a complete detailed execution timeline, accountabilities are understood and deadlines are met
  • Protects, edits and proofreads the language of the brand while also elevating it
  • Understanding of online retail, marketing trends, design concepts within the digital space, responsive and adaptive concepts
  • Understanding of KPIs, data analysis and reporting for incorporation into decision-making about content
  • Helps shape and inform department strategy as a senior member of the Need Supply Editorial team, bringing a creative and editorial lens to the conversation


Minimum Qualifications:

  • 4+ years experience in recognized editorial roles pertaining to fashion, style, and/or culture
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Creative Writing, or relevant field
  • Background in business writing, communications or advertising copywriting is critical, along with an understanding of consumer writing
  • Ability to develop content standards and develop processes to ensure consistency
  • Strong ability to present creative recommendations
  • Collaboration skills combined with strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and analytical skills
  • Evidence of having driven a strong portfolio of impactful work
  • 2+ years of web content experience
  • Multitask in a fast-paced environment and can easily change direction when urgent communication needs arise


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in English, Creative Writing, or relevant field
  • 2+ years Content Manager or relevant experience
  • Experience across retail, editorial, and advertising sectors of apparel industry
