Junior Copywriter

We’re searching for a part-time Junior Copywriter who will play a critical role in delivering compelling and meaningful product descriptions in accordance with NSTO's tone and brand guidelines. The Junior Copywriter will provide consistently accurate measurements and descriptions of products, paying close attention to detail and ensuring grammatical accuracy for all assets uploaded to the site. The ideal candidate is passionate about the fashion industry, current with style trends, loves to write, and meets deadlines on time and with grammatical perfection. The ability to keep cool in a fast-paced work environment and industry is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Writes accurate and compelling descriptions of men’s, women’s, and home products for NSTO’s ecommerce websites
  • Maintains brand tone and voice throughout all product descriptions
  • Edits and proofreads product copy as needed
  • Pays attention to detail resulting in zero grammatical or syntax errors
  • Recognizes and articulates the characteristic elements and benefits of each product
  • Regulates weekly workload and manages time effectively
  • Turns around all deliverables quickly

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2-3 years of work experience in the fields of writing, editing and/or fashion
  • Bachelor’s degree required, Creative Writing or English degree a plus
  • Apparel and fashion experience highly preferred
  • MS Office fluency (Word, Excel, etc)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced work environment under tight deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Innate curiosity, and a desire to communicate specialized knowledge about a wide variety of products
  • Above-average communication skills
  • Ability to take direction and execute accordingly
