Jr. Stylist

The Junior Stylist will assist the Stylist both on set and off set with various duties of styling, prepping, and post-shoot styling for Ecommerce shoots to optimize set efficiency/productivity while gaining knowledge and experience in styling. Chiefly responsible for prepping products for the shoot, the Junior Stylist will ensure that all product is de-tagged, steamed, and sorted into ideal categories for particular shoots. Reporting to the Studio Creative Manager, the Junior Stylist will ensure all work achieves the highest standards of care and brand-look for NSTO while partnering and learning from an Ecommerce Stylist. The Junior Stylist will also partner with Coordinators and Receivers to ensure styles are accurately accounted for and returned to appropriate work groups in top condition.    


  • Ensure all product for scheduled shoot is prepared and photo-ready ahead of Style-Out
  • Prepare product on set for efficient hand-off to stylist
  • Organize product (both during prep and during shoot) for Stylist to maximize efficiency
  • Anticipate styling needs (tools, props, etc) and deliver as needed to stylist
  • Partner with operations team to ensure accurate product is on set and ready to shoot
  • Troubleshoot & prioritize direction from Stylist
  • Organize and maintain styling workspace; request supplies as needed
  • Properly prep various product to photography-ready
  • Maintain clean and organized prop closet, rotating inventory as directed by Stylist
  • Follow all product-handling standards to ensure products remain in selling-condition
  • Assist in on-set process testing as needed


  • Bachelor’s Degree from accredited university; preferred degree in Fashion or Visual Merchandising, Studio Styling or related field
  • A superb eye for style, visual composition, and attention to detail
  • Familiarity with garment construction, steaming apparel
  • Portfolio with some practical styling experience, or previous industry experience
  • Proven ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines
  • Proven ability to work well as part of a team
  • Able to lift, move, push, and pull product up to 50 lbs during shift
  • 1+ years’ experience in retail or merchandising
  • Self-driven and able to easily communicate creative ideas and collaborate in a team environment
  • Comfortable in a culture of continuous change
  • Knowledge on trends and emerging brands in fashion
  • Familiarity with styling and visual presentation techniques
  • Interest in becoming an Ecommerce Stylist
